Dr. Chris Pavel is a University of Alberta–trained Family Physician with a focused interest in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, and Sports Medicine.

After completing residency, he returned to Calgary and has been practicing in Urgent Care, where he manages a broad spectrum of acute presentations. This environment has allowed him to develop a particular strength in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, from acute sports-related trauma to overuse conditions. He has a practical approach to care, emphasizing accurate diagnosis, early mobilization, and clear return-to-activity plans, to optimize recovery and reduce time away from work or sport. Outside of work, Chris is an avid mountain biker and skier. He enjoys spending time with his wife and puppy, and
can often be found road-tripping on his motorcycle in search of the best roads and restaurants
