Dr Sabo attended medical school and pursued her orthopaedic residency training at Western University in London, Ontario. She spent an additional year split between the Hand and Upper Limb Clinic and the trauma units while completing her Masters in Medical Biophysics. She then spent a year abroad at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit furthering her education.
Since joining the South Health Campus orthopaedic group in 2013, her elective surgical practice has evolved to focus solely on shoulder reconstruction. Common types of surgery that she performs are shoulder replacements, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilization surgery, and procedures for the sternoclavicular joint.
As a clinical associate professor at the University of Calgary, Dr Sabo is also involved in a variety of academic and administrative activities. She teaches research methodology to surgical learners, and is Zone Medical Lead for the Centralized Associate Physicians program in Calgary.
When not reconstructing shoulders, Dr Sabo enjoys cycling and is a classically trained pianist.
