Yasmin Chishti

MD, FRCPC, CSCN Diplomate (EMG)

Dr. Yasmin Chishti completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology, with a double major in Biology and Psychology, at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, New Brunswick in 2013. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at Dalhousie University’s Saint John Campus in 2017, followed by her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alberta in 2022. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Chishti has pursued additional training in electrodiagnostic medicine and obtained her diplomate (EMG) with the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN) in 2022. She has also completed advanced training in fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures and became a Certified Independent Medical Examiner through the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) in 2022.

Her primary clinical interests include chronic neck and back pain, musculoskeletal and joint pain conditions, electromyography (EMG), and image-guided interventional procedures.

Dr. Chishti is a Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Department of Medicine, at the University of Alberta and has an active interest in medical education and resident training
