Dr. Foran received her medical degree from The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. She completed a FRCPC residency in emergency medicine and a fellowship in sports medicine at The University of Alberta. She has worked in Edmonton and Calgary as an emergency physician, STARS physician and sports medicine physician. She currently practices sports medicine and emergency medicine in Calgary. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Calgary.

She has been involved in sports medicine across a breadth ranging from acting as Medical Director for The ITU triathlon, event physician for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Rugby Sevens and Assistant team physician for the Edmonton Oil Kings. Dr. Foran is currently one of the game physicians for the Calgary Wranglers, the Calgary Flames AHL affiliate team.

Outside of work you can find her on the basketball court, at the closest beach or completing home design projects.
